Alumni in the Military
On May 27, 2011 Belmont Hill School dedicated a memorial in enduring memory of the young men of Belmont Hill School who gave their lives in defense of their county and human freedom. This meaningful memorial and event started a conversation about compiling a record and recognizing all Belmont Hill alumni who have served in the military. Form II students were treated to a special virtual meeting with General Mark Milley ’76, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his wife, Hollyanne.
Speaking virtually to the Belmont Hill community, Lieutenant Commander Daniel W. McDonald '05 delivered a moving talk, giving powerful insight into the true meaning of Veterans Day.
In a special Veterans Day ceremony, Belmont Hill paid tribute to veterans in a moving way.
Fifth Former Max Peterson sat in the library one day last year and gazed up at a memorial on the wall honoring the thirteen Belmont Hill alumni who lost their lives in foreign conflicts.
In a moving chapel Monday morning, the School honored Veterans Day in a very special way.
