Senior-Directed Play Presents a Poignant “Of Mice and Men”

Under the outstanding direction of seniors Peter Knowlton and Varun Shah, Belmont Hill School and Winsor School teamed up to present a powerful and emotional performance of John Steinbeck’s haunting story, “Of Mice and Men.”
Owen Pickette ’18 portrayed George whose dream of working to save enough money to buy his own ranch is hindered by his responsibility of taking care of his “man-child” friend Lennie, played by Seamus Clair ’17. When tragedy strikes, George is faced with a grim moral predicament that will affect both his and Lennie’s future – resulting in a heartbreaking conclusion.
The excellent cast also included Belmont Hill students Bennett Rush ’17 as Candy, Sebastian Themelis ’17 as Curley, Scott Jackson ’17 as Slim, Marshall Knight ’17 as Carlson, Gus Lamb ’17 as Whit, and Belmont Hill School’s own Donnell Patterson as Crooks.
