AN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL FOR BOYS GRADES 7-12

Boys' programs in baseball, basketball, lacrosse, and soccer are offered. Below is a description of each program offered.

 
BOYS’ CAMPS
 
Advanced Baseball (ages 13-15)
The advanced baseball camp is for dedicated players who aspire to play at the varsity level in high school and beyond, who are also playing in a summer league in the evenings through July minimally, and who have the arm-strength for a Babe Ruth-sized diamond. A 12 year old player may participate with the camp director’s approval. Each player should supply: sunscreen, refillable water bottle, his own bat, glove, cleats and hat. Baseball pants optional. In the event of rain, players should have sneakers in addition to their cleats for indoor drills.
 
Baseball (ages 8-12)
All campers are exposed to infield, outfield, batting, and base-running techniques. Emphasis is placed on continual and active participation. Team situations are discussed along with rule interpretations. Coached and umpired games will also take place. Each player should supply his own bat, glove, cleats and hat. In the event of rain, players should have sneakers in addition to their cleats for indoor drills. Baseball may be elected for one, two or three weeks. Each player should supply: sunscreen, refillable water bottle, his own bat, glove, cleats and hat. Baseball pants optional. In the event of rain, players should have sneakers in addition to their cleats for indoor drills.
 
Basketball (ages 8-13)
The boys’ basketball camp will stress individual offense, rebounding, skill development, shooting, defense and team play. The camps will utilize two indoor gyms and an outdoor court. Basketball camp may be elected for one or two weeks. A basketball will be given to each camper for use during the week. Players should come dressed in a tee shirt, shorts and sneakers, and bring sunscreen and a refillable water bottle.
 
Lacrosse (ages 9-15)
The boys’ lacrosse camp accommodates players of various ages and skill levels. Drills and skills, individual and group instruction, and field position are emphasized. Coached and officiated games will be played. Each player should supply sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, his own mouth guard, stick, practice attire, gloves and elbow and shoulder pads. Cleats are recommended. In the event of rain, players should have sneakers in addition to their cleats for indoor drills. A limited number of helmets are available for rental at a cost of $10 per week. Please contact the Summer Programs office in advance if you wish to rent a helmet.
 
Soccer (ages 8-15)
The boys’ soccer camp is suitable for all levels of play. Emphasis is on individual skills as well as team play. Outdoor fields and indoor practice areas are available. A soccer ball is given to each camper for use during the week. Each player is required to supply sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, shin guards and cleats. In the event of rain, players should have sneakers in addition to their cleats for indoor drills.
