How to Apply


Greetings from the Belmont Hill Admission Office!
We look forward to connecting with you and your family throughout this application process. Please note that our paperless online application is due on January 15. We are here to help you navigate the following steps, and remember the steps do not have to happen in the exact order outlined below.

INQUIRE AND EXPLORE
  • Parents set up an online admission account through Ravenna Solutions (www.ravenna-hub.com).
  • Search for Belmont Hill School in the School Directory and select “Explore.” This will allow us to inform you of events, important dates, and deadlines.
  • IMPORTANT: When registering, please use one common and consistent email address for all Ravenna sign-ins.
SCHEDULE A PERSONALIZED CAMPUS TOUR AND ADMISSION INTERVIEW
  • Next we encourage you to schedule an admission tour and interview. During the 90-minute visit, applicants and their parent(s)/guardian(s) tour campus and interview with an admission officer.
  • Interview spaces fill up quickly so register early to ensure a time that works with your schedule.
  • Please call the Office of Admission at 617-993-5220 to schedule your visit. 
ATTEND THE OPEN HOUSE AND/OR CURRICULUM NIGHT OPEN HOUSE
  • We host our Open House on Saturday, October 14, and our Curriculum Night Open House the evening of Tuesday, December 5.
  • While not required, these events offer opportunities to experience this dynamic community, interact with students, engage with faculty, and see what makes Belmont Hill special.
REGISTER FOR THE APPROPRIATE STANDARDIZED TEST (ISEE OR SSAT)
  • Applicants to 7th and 8th grades should take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE).
  • Applicants to 9th, 10th, and 11th grades should take the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT). Please designate Belmont Hill School as a recipient of the official score.
  • The ISEE School Code for Belmont Hill is 220120. The SSAT School Code for Belmont Hill is 1564. You can register for the ISEE online at www.iseetest.org and the SSAT online at www.ssat.org.
COMPLETE OUR ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS
  • All applications should be created and submitted online through www.ravenna-hub.com by the January 15 deadline.
  • A completed application consists of a Pre-Interview Questionnaire (submitted prior to the interview), Parent Questionnaire, Candidate Questionnaire, School Report (including transcripts), Current English Teacher Recommendation, Current Math Teacher Recommendation, Personal Recommendation(s), and Standardized Test Results.
  • The $40 application fee is payable online, and fee waivers are available for those who qualify.Please contact the Office of Admission at 617-993-5220 to ask any questions and/or request a fee waiver.
APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
  • Financial Aid applicants should submit online applications through School and Student Services (www.sssbynais.org) by the January 15 deadline.
  • For information on financial aid, contact the Office of Financial Aid at 617-993-5244 if you need assistance.
