Admission Process

How to Apply

Greetings from the Belmont Hill Admission Office!
Thank you for your interest in this great school community. We look forward to connecting with you and your family as we move through this application process together. Please note that this year, for the first time, we are moving to a completely paperless online application process. Working together, we are eager to help you navigate your way through the following steps. Please keep in mind that these steps do not have to happen in the exact order outlined below.

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2016-17 ADMISSION SEASON! Follow this link to apply online. If you have not yet done so please call the admission office at 617-993-5220 to schedule a tour and interview. We look forward to connecting with you through this process.

The Belmont Hill School admission process begins by completing the online inquiry form. Once we receive this information, a packet of information will be sent to you in the mail and you will be entered into our database.
Attend the Open House and/or Curriculum Night Open House
We will be hosting our Open House on Saturday, October 1 and our Curriculum Night Open House the evening of Thursday, November 10. While not required, these events offer opportunities to experience this dynamic community, interact with students, engage with faculty, and see what Belmont Hill is like on the inside.
Schedule a Personalized Campus Tour and Admission Interview
After you have inquired online, please call the Office of Admission at 617-993-5220 to schedule your admission tour and visit. During the 90 minute visit, applicants and their parent(s)/guardian(s) will have an opportunity to tour campus and have an interview conversation with an admission officer. Please note that interview spaces fill up quickly and we recommend calling early so as to ensure an interview time that works well with your schedule.
Create an Online Application Account
Prior to visiting campus we ask that parents set up an online admission account through Ravenna Solutions (www.ravenna-hub.com). Please note: when creating your Ravenna account, it is important to use one common email address that you will use exclusively throughout the online application process.
We also ask that students complete the pre-interview questionnaire a few days prior to visiting campus.

Register for the appropriate Standardized Test (ISEE or SSAT)
Applicants to 7th and 8th grades should take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) and applicants to 9th, 10th, and 11th grades should take the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT). Please designate Belmont Hill School as a recipient of the official score. The ISEE School Code for Belmont Hill is 220120. The SSAT School Code for Belmont Hill is 1564.
You can register for the ISEE online at www.iseetest.org
You can register for the SSAT online at www.ssat.org
