  • School Year Abroad (SYA)

    School Year Abroad operates schools in China, France, Spain, Italy, and Vietnam, "offering juniors and seniors the opportunity to live with a European or Asian family for an entire academic year while earning U.S. graduation credits and preparing for selective U.S. colleges and universities."   • CITYterm

    Offering an urban educational experience, CITYterm seeks to provide students with the "intellectual tools they need to understand and express the complexity of New York City and the emotional and social tools to participate constructively in their community."   • High Mountain Institute

    Through its Rocky Mountain Semester program, HMI offers "11th grade students the opportunity to focus on rigorous academics and community and leadership skills through participation in a small community on campus in Leadville, Colorado and on three wilderness expeditions through the heart of the Rocky Mountains."  For more information, visit the HMI webpage or email Adam Harder.
  • The Island School

  • The Mountain School

  • The Maine Coast Semester

    Located on a 400-acre saltwater peninsula campus in northern New England, Chewonki offers students an opportunity to abandon the confines of the classroom, to go beyond lectures and books, and learn to read the world. In a typical year, Chewonki welcomes students from fifty-two schools and twenty-one states. Selected on the basis of their intellectual energies, strength of character, and creativity, students arrive with a diversity of traits and backgrounds to face this challenging new environment. For more information, contact Adam Harder.
  • The School for Ethics & Global Leadership

    SEGL is a semester-long program in Washington, DC for highly motivated high school students interested in exploring global affairs and leadership. The program emphasizes critical thinking skills, leadership development, and international affairs, using a case-study method and taking advantage of resources in the Washington, D.C. area.  For more information, see Adam Harder.
  • Arabic Year at King’s Academy (AY)

    Arabic Year at King’s Academy (AY) offers high school students one year of intensive Arabic language study, Middle Eastern cultural immersion and experiential learning. The program is designed for students in grades 10 through 12 who want to learn Arabic and explore the history, politics and culture of a vital part of the world. Students enrolled in AY are part of King’s Academy, an American-style boarding school in Jordan modeled after Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts. For more information, please contact Adam Harder.
