  • Dr. Elizabeth Davis

    Williams College - B.A. with Honors
    Dr. Davis joined the Belmont Hill faculty in 2014. She teaches Science 1 and A.P. Environmental Science. In addition, she coaches Middle School basketball and advises in Form VI. Dr. Davis comes to Belmont Hill from Wellesley College where she was a visiting lecturer of geosciences and also taught courses in marine geosciences, oceanography, and earth sciences. She holds a B.A. with honors in geosciences from Williams College, an M.A., an M.Phil., and a Ph.D., all in earth and environmental sciences from Columbia University.

    Mr. Davis joined the Belmont Hill faculty in 2014. He teaches Latin Alpha, Latin Gamma A, Latin 3, and Latin 3A. He also coaches Middle School football and wrestling and advises in Form II. Mr. Davis has extensive teaching experience, including ten years of teaching at the secondary school level including at The Hotchkiss School, St. Paul’s School, as well as three years at Belmont Hill School from 1996-1999. Mr. Davis has six years of experience teaching at the university level at Columbia University where he taught courses in Greek, Latin, and Greek art and architecture. He holds an A.B. in classics from Harvard University, and an M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in classical studies all from Columbia University.

    Mr. DiResta joined Belmont Hill's faculty in 2012. He teaches Spanish 1Chinese 4 Advanced, Chinese 5 and Chinese 5 Advanced. In addition, he is a director in the Theater Department.

    Mr. Duarte joined the Belmont Hill faculty in 2017. He teaches photography, Digital Video, and Form I Art. He is also the director of technical theater. In addition, Mr. Duarte coaches Middle School Hockey. A graduate of Bowdoin College with a B.A. in studio art and minor in economics, Mr. Duarte also holds a M.F.A. in photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He has held teaching assistant positions and has been an adjunct faculty member at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Mount Ida College. Mr. Duarte’s work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions all over the country and his work has been included in both printed and online publications.
