After weeks of food gathering and organization, the 2016 Belmont Hill School Thanksgiving Turkey Drive wrapped up on Monday, November 21 with the delivery of 480 complete Thanksgiving dinners
to families in need in Belmont and surrounding communities – dramatically exceeding the goal of 425 meals.
Under the direction of faculty members Donna David, Stephen George, Tyson Trautz, and Tim Sullivan, this massive undertaking was possible due to the tremendous support of students, families, and local companies and organizations (listed below). A special thanks goes to Liz Greenwood P ’16, ’17, ’20 and community service parent liaison for the Parents’ Council, who was an instrumental part of the Turkey Drive’s success.
This year’s effort was dedicated to Colleen Young, who passed away just days before the delivery of meals to families. Mrs. Young was a 28-year member of the Belmont Hill School community, a treasured friend and colleague, and an active supporter of the Turkey Dinner Drive.
