Julian Dalziel '21 Performs in Northeastern District Senior Festival

Every November, a group of Belmont Hill School musicians auditions for the Northeastern District Senior Music Festival. From this audition, judges from the Massachusetts Music Educators Association select musicians to form four all-star ensembles. Fifth former Julian Dalziel was selected for the second viola chair in the Senior District Orchestra this year, and after a challenging week of rehearsals, he performed with the ensemble in the Festival Concert in Wakefield this weekend.

The Senior Festival Orchestra at Saturday's concert was led by renowned conductor Charles Peltz. Their energetic performance featured Copland's "Outdoor Overture," a chorale prelude by J.S. Bach, and the "Berceuse and Finale" from Stravinsky's Firebird ballet suite. Congratulations on a great performance, Julian!
