Head of School Addresses Boys Returning from Winter Break

Greg Schneider, Ronald M. Druker ’62 Head of School, today continued the long tradition of delivering a Chapel Talk to the boys upon returning from Winter Break.

Mr. Schneider, who has focused his initial Chapel Talks on various aspects of character, today looked at it through the lens of perspective.
“I want to further grow our understanding of character at this school with the addition of a new lens in the form of the word perspective. As a person, father, educator, and Ethics teacher, I remain convinced that some of our worst decisions emerge when we seemingly lose our sense of perspective.”
Mr. Schneider shared many insights from scholars and philosophers to further examine the subject, giving the boys a very thought-provoking talk with which to begin the second half of the year.
With the chapel renovation due to be completed by March Break, Mr. Schneider happily began the morning by informing the boys that this would be his final Chapel Talk in the Fritz Gym and thanked them for their patience during the transition.
Please enjoy the talk in its entirety.
