Hockey Team Wins Lawrenceville Tournament

After a rough start to their season, the hockey traveled to Lawrenceville School in New Jersey to play in its annual tournament. The competition is tough and the play is grueling with four games in three days.

The boys opened Friday afternoon for a game against Taft School and came away with a 2-0 win.  Saturday morning found them paired off against Upper Canada College where they forged a big 7-2 victory.  That led to a Saturday afternoon matchup with Northfield Mount Hermon resulting in a tight 2-1 triumph. Finally, Sunday was set for a showdown with Nichols School for the championship.  Tied 1-1 after two periods, the boys netted two tallies in the third period to take home the title.

Later this week Belmont Hill will host the Belmont Hill-Nichols Tournament.
