Belmont Hill, Roxbury Latin Honor Former Belmont Hill Faculty Member Terry Iandiorio with Alumni Soccer Game

Alumni of Roxbury Latin and Belmont Hill engaged in a spirited soccer match to honor former Belmont Hill faculty member Terry Iandiorio, who was also an alumnus of Roxbury Latin.
The game served as a memorial for Terry who passed away over two years ago. Strong turnouts of alumni from both schools indicate the deep respect held for Terry. The game will become a yearly event with this year’s contest played at Roxbury Latin and next year at Belmont Hill.
After the match, guests, including Terry’s family, were invited to a lunch during which Roxbury Latin Head of School Kerry Brennan offered a moving tribute to Terry, recalling his days as a Roxbury Latin student during which he distinguished himself in many ways including winning the School’s highest honors.
Friend and former colleague Chris Sweeney ’83 of Belmont Hill then offered a poignant tribute of his own. “The Terry I knew was not emotional in a public way," he said. "Rather, he inspired those around him to appreciate that intensity, hard work, and a sincere commitment to bringing out the best in others were qualities worth striving for.”
