Form IV Cereal Drive Provides for Boston Homeless Shelter

Belmont Hill’s Cereal Drive succeeded in surpassing its goal of collecting 500 boxes in the month of May. Under the leadership of Tim McCormack ’21, members of Form IV organized the drive to benefit Boston homeless shelter Pine Street Inn. This was the fifth and largest drive the students have held, netting 545 boxes.
The shelter serves approximately 590 bowls of cereal each morning. Founded in 1969, Pine Street Inn is the largest provider of emergency shelter, job training, street outreach and permanent housing for homeless men and women in New England. Pine Street welcomes over 1,900 homeless individuals daily, providing immediate basic care and long-term solutions to assist men and women in their journey out of homelessness.

“Thank you to everyone who donated, helped spread the word, or assisted the drive in any way. Also, a special thanks to bFresh in Allston and Wegman's in Chestnut Hill for their donations. We look forward to setting a new record for next year’s drive,” said Timmy McCormack ’21.
