Belmont Hill Musicians Perform in District Music Festival

On a recent Saturday this winter, a group of Belmont Hill musicians auditioned for the Northeastern District Junior Music Festival. From this audition, judges from the Massachusetts Music Educators Association selected musicians to form four all-star ensembles for the festival, which took place over the past week.
Third Former David Carter (trumpet) was selected to play in the District Concert Band; Third Former Kevin Jiang (clarinet) and First Former Brian Lee (cello) were selected to play in the District Orchestra this year. After a challenging week of rehearsals with these highly selective ensembles, they performed in the Festival Concert at Galvin Middle School in Wakefield last Saturday afternoon. Congratulations David, Kevin, and Brian.
