Nordic Ski Team Wins First-Ever League Championship

The Belmont Hill Nordic Ski Team made history yesterday by capturing the School's first-ever league championship in winning the Lakes Region League title.
The team not only won the championship race itself but also finished the season ranked first as a result of the entire season's worth of racing.

“I am immensely proud of this year's Nordic team,” said Coach Jared Courtney. “The entire team, from our fastest skier to our newest skier, has really invested itself in the hard work and attention to detail that are necessary for our sport. Skiers have worked incredibly hard, both in dryland and on-snow training, and winning a league championship is just one of many exciting accomplishments this season: we had skiers race against college and National Team skiers in weekend races up north, four skiers qualified for the Massachusetts State Nordic Team, and most importantly, the skiers have begun to develop a true love for Nordic Skiing.”
