PwaP Wins 'Step Up' Award

Earlier this fall, Belmont Hill Party with a Purpose (PwaP) was awarded the “The Step Up Award” for the greatest increase in funding at the annual Northeast Dance Marathon Collaboration in Boston. The award recognizes PwaP’s 46% increase in proceeds from the previous year. On November 6, the Belmont Hill student directors presented the award to the many student leaders from the other collaborating schools.
Party with a Purpose is a Dance Marathon supporting our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital. One hundred percent of Party with a Purpose's proceeds directly benefit the patient families of Boston Children's. In the first year, PwaP raised over $35,000 and increased to $50,000 last year.

This year, on March 30, students will be “partying” for five straight hours to raise money for the hundreds of thousands of children that enter Boston Children’s Hospital every year. Each year the group hopes to increase its contribution.

Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a movement activating university, middle and high school students at more than 300 schools across North America—all raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a non-profit organization that raises funds for 170 member hospitals across the country.
