    Dr. Albert Coombs '03 with Mr. Caleb Collins '93.

    Alby Coombs '03 Shares his Journey with Students

    Alby Coombs '03 returned to campus today and spoke to students about his time at Belmont Hill, his college experience, and his career in the dental profession. While at Kenyon College he studied molecular biology and played football (earning team MVP and performing as captain). From there he attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2011. Dr. Coombs is currently an associate fellow with the International Dental Implant Association. Following his passion for serving at-risk patient populations, he developed and co-founded Smile Services with Dr. Kevin Granger. Smile Services is a community outreach program focused on oral health education in underserved populations throughout Washington D.C. Since 2012, this program has provided more than 2,000 free patient exams, taught a variety of classes from oral cancer education to career mentorship, and has donated dental supplies to elementary schools, churches, and homeless shelters throughout the region. In 2015, Dr. Coombs along with Dr. Granger launched a private practice, Smile Services DC, where they continue to provide care to patients in the Washington D.C. area.

    Len Edgerly '68 Shares Podcasting Experience with Creative Writing Students

    Len Edgerly '68 visited campus today to talk about the technical and creative side of podcasting with Dr. Tift's creative writing students. Mr. Edgerly was the editor of the Panel, graduated from Harvard in 1972, had a career in journalism, and, after an early retirement, earned an MFA in poetry from Bennington College in 2003. His weekly Friday podcast "The Kindle Chronicles" about books, the Kindle, and all things Amazon began in 2008 and has twice featured Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.   • Scott Fusco '81

    Scott Fusco ’81 Inducted into Beanpot Hockey Tournament Hall of Fame

    The Beanpot Hockey Tournament announced that Scott Fusco, of Winchester, MA, (Belmont Hill ’81 and Harvard '86) is the newest member of the hockey tournament’s hall of fame. Fusco is the Crimson’s all-time scoring leader with 240 points (107 goals, 133 assists). He is the fifth Belmont Hill alumnus to join the 59-member Beanpot Hall of Fame.
