Health and safety PROTOCOLS
We are committed to providing a traditional Belmont Hill experience for our boys, while recognizing that COVID-19 continues to impact all of our experiences. We are grateful for your participation and partnership as we continue to support the physical and mental health of our boys and our community members.
This webpage will be the landing page for up to date information regarding our Health and Safety Protocols. Please check here for the most current information.
Mitigation Strategies
Testing
We ask that all students, faculty, and staff stay home if they are feeling ill and test at home. If a student, faculty, or staff member, develops symptoms during the school day, we are able to offer symptomatic testing for COVID-19.
Campus COVID-19 Health Protocols
Students, faculty, and staff should stay home if ill or if experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and notify the Health Office.
In an effort to keep our school community healthy and safe, we ask that if your son is not well enough to participate in all activities during the school day, that they remain at home.
Athletics
Student-athletes must meet all medical requirements to return to competition. This protocol is subject to medical professionals’ discretion. All student-athletes are required to follow Belmont Hill’s COVID-19 school-wide protocols for return to campus. During the isolation period at home, student-athletes should not exercise.
All student-athletes must obtain a clearance note from their primary care physician (PCP) to participate in sports/physical activity*.
*The note must clearly state the date of clearance and plan for gradual return to play.
All clearance notes will be reviewed by the Health Clinic and Athletic Training Staff. The student-athlete MUST follow the Belmont Hill’s Return to Play protocol.

Protocol Communications 2021-2022
The following letters were sent from the Head of School. To access all school communications, please visit the Veracross Parent Portal.
REMOTE LEARNING POLICY
In the following situations, students will be allowed to Zoom into their classes via their teachers' computers.
- An accommodation related to COVID-19 quarantine/isolation protocols
- An absence due to a planned medical procedure or essential family matter
- An absence due to illness that will extend beyond two class days
In each case, parents should speak with their son’s Division Director for guidance as well as the Health Office in the case of extended sickness. Our ability to provide remote learning in the post pandemic norm is limited and lead time is required for set up. As such, please communicate as proactively as possible and note that we cannot accommodate boys missing school for athletic reasons.
