Head Coach
A graduate of the Belmont Hill School Class of 2016, Mr. DeCaprio joined Belmont Hill in 2020 as an interim teacher in our Science Department. Now a full-time faculty member, Mr. DeCaprio teaches Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and serves as the Director of the Advanced Science Research (ASR) program. He is a Form V Advisor and coaches Middle School Cross Country, Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Nordic Skiing, and Varsity Track. He is also the Assistant Camp Director in our Summer Sport Camps.

Having received his Ph.D. in English in the spring of 2021 from Tufts University, where he was also a first-year writing program instructor and technology and teaching assistant, Dr. Calloway joins Belmont Hill as a faculty member in the English Department. With extensive experience as a coach of the high school program at Riverside Boat Club and as a member of the varsity rowing team at Dartmouth College (where he received his B.A. in English with honors in 2012), Dr. Calloway will also coach crew. Prior to his time at Tufts University, he worked at the Frederick Gunn School, where he also taught English, and served as both a dorm parent and student advisor.

Mr. Kendall joins Belmont Hill School’s Math Department where he will teach four sections of math, advise, and coach Varsity Nordic Skiing and Middle School Cross Country. Most recently, he was the associate dean of students at the Dublin School, a duty team leader in the school’s residential program, and taught Geometry, AP Calculus AB, Linear Algebra, and Economic Literacy. Prior to Dublin School, Mr. Kendall was a member of the mathematics faculty at Berwick Academy and spent summers at Kingsley Pines Camp where he was the boys campus head. Mr. Kendall holds a master of science in school leadership from UPenn, a masters of arts in teaching – secondary from Boston University, and a B.A. in mathematics and psychology from St. Olaf College.
