Varsity Soccer

The Coach 

Jorge Montoya is a graduate of Boston College where he played varsity soccer for four years and was team captain in his senior year. After college, Coach Montoya continued his soccer career playing seven seasons professionally as well as captaining the Boston Bolts. He also holds a USSF A coaching license. Coach Montoya teaches Spanish 2, Spanish 4 and Spanish 5 and is an advisor in the Third Form. Email Coach Montoya

The Program

Coach Montoya has led the Varsity Soccer program at Belmont Hill since 1993. During his 31 seasons at Belmont Hill, he has taken the team to the NE Prep School A Tournament 15 times and captured 5 ISL Championships. His overall coaching record stands at 340-124-84. As the Head Coach at Belmont Hill, he captured his 300th varsity soccer win for the School on November 1, 2023. In 2024, He was selected by NEPSAC as the Coach of the Year.

Over the past four seasons, Belmont Hill soccer players have gone on to compete at the following schools: Cornell University, Colby College, Bowdoin College, Northeastern University, Haverford College, Kenyon College, Occidental College, Union College, and UNH.
