How to Apply

The first step in our admission process is for families to set up an online account in Ravenna at www.ravenna-hub.com. Your entire admission process, from event registration, form submission and recommendation requests, to decision notification, will be managed in Ravenna. Our application forms will be available in mid-September.

All applicants are required to submit a pre-interview questionnaire and participate in either a virtual or in-person tour and interview. During this visit, both the applicant and their parent(s)/guardian(s) will have an opportunity to talk with an admission officer and learn more about Belmont Hill. Both in-person and virtual appointments will be offered October through December. During the month of January we will only offer virtual appointments.

Admission Events

• Applying for 7th and 8th grades:

  • Applicants to 7th and 8th grades should take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Register online at www.iseetest.org.

  • Designate Belmont Hill as an official score recipient using our ISEE school code 220120.

• Applying for 9th, 10th, and 11th grades:

  • Applicants to 9th, 10th, and 11th grades should take the Secondary Schools Admission Test (SSAT). Register online at www.ssat.org.

  • Designate Belmont Hill as an official score recipient using our SSAT school code 1564.

  • If you have taken the PSAT, SAT, or ACT, you may submit those official score reports in place of the SSAT.

• Required Materials:

  • Pre-Interview Questionnaire (submitted prior to your interview)

  • Parent Questionnaire

  • Candidate Questionnaire

  • School Report (to be completed by a guidance counselor or head of school)

  • Current English Teacher Recommendation

  • Current Math Teacher Recommendation

  • Prior Year Teacher Recommendation (to be completed by a core academic subject teacher)

  • Entrance Exam Scores

  • Optional Personal Recommendation(s)

  • $40 application fee is payable online, and fee waivers are available from Belmont Hill for families who qualify

  • You may track your application in your Ravenna account

  • It may take up to a week for your application materials to be processed, so please be patient. Thank you!

• Applicants for financial aid should submit their application online through Clarity.

Financial Aid

• Applicants will receive notification in Ravenna of their admission decision on March 10.

• Accepted students must complete their online enrollment by April 10.
