Class of 2022 College Planning

We know that you are just starting to think about preparing for your college search. We want to emphasize that the most important thing you can do right now is focus on your Belmont Hill classes. We know, however, that some of you may have questions about testing. We will try to answer those questions here.

Standardized Test FAQs

  • Q.
I was planning to take SAT subject tests in June. Now that the June SAT test date is cancelled, I’m not sure what I should do?

SAT is offering subject tests in August, October (national testing day only), November and December, so you will have the opportunity to take subject tests if you choose to do so. Registration for these tests is now open.

You will not be able to take SAT subject tests during the September test administration or the October 14 SAT School Day Administration at Belmont Hill (only the SAT will be available on these two test dates). Please be advised that many schools that previously required or recommended subject tests have relaxed their requirements and recommendations. Given this, you may choose to focus instead on SAT or ACT preparation and testing going forward. If, however, you feel particularly confident about a subject and would like to take the SAT subject test, we encourage you to do so if you have time.
