Welcome

For 40 years, Belmont Hill has offered boys and girls enriching academic and athletic summer programs.

In 2021, Belmont Hill is excited to offer online learning classes and outdoor sport camps.

With an experienced staff of teachers and coaches, our programs foster an environment where every student can learn and grow.

SUMMER SCHOOL: REMOTE LEARNING

At Belmont Hill Summer School, students in grades 6-12 can explore new subjects, hone skills, and gain valuable academic experience from expert faculty. In a four-week session conducted via remote learning, our curriculum is designed to position students for success in their upcoming school year.

In 2020, our summer school ran student-oriented, remote learning courses with tremendous success. Our experienced and passionate teachers built strong relationships with students in small class sizes and seamlessly adapted our curriculum to an online synchronous learning environment. In 2021, we will continue this proven formula to safely reach and educate students in the wider Boston area.

With diverse course offerings and flexible scheduling, parents can design an academic schedule perfect for their student’s goals and needs.

REMOTE LEARNING MISSION AND PRACTICES

Belmont Hill School is dedicated to the same pursuit of excellence in its Summer Programs as it is throughout the academic year.  While necessarily different from our traditional brick and mortar program, our Remote Learning Program (RLP) features the same commitment to relational learning that is the hallmark of a Belmont Hill education.

For students, our remote program leverages technology to access content and gain mastery over key 21st-century skills. It also focuses upon the tremendous value of independent learning and self-assessment in a new way.

Our robust selection of offerings seeks to better prepare students for the upcoming academic year. Our classes provide a coeducational and synchronous learning experience.

As in past summers, class sizes will remain small to give students more individualized attention and to tailor instruction to fit their needs. The use of the internet and the pace of technological growth have transformed teaching and learning at Belmont Hill over the last several years, so we are fortunate to build upon this foundation.

Finally, the extension of our classes into the remote learning environment comes with the expectation that Belmont Hill Summer School students will commit to the same intellectual honesty and academic integrity that is integral to our Honor Code.
