Students “Party with a Purpose” and Raise Funds for Boston Children’s Hospital

For one night in February, the Jordan Athletic Center was transformed from a crucible of competition into a destination for service, celebration, and fellowship at the Party with a Purpose event. The annual student-led fundraising project is held at Belmont Hill as part of a collaboration with students from Newton Country Day School, The Winsor School, Dana Hall School, and The Rivers School to raise funds for Boston Children’s Hospital. This year, nearly 800 students from these school communities participated and attended.

This year’s event included bubble soccer, karaoke, dodgeball, ping pong, a photo-booth, and access to the ice rink. Along with time for free skating, the highlight might have been the puck toss raffle where students sent pucks down from the mezzanine to try and get as close as possible to the School seal at center ice. Support for these festivities also included an enthusiastic group of parent, faculty, and staff volunteers.

While the event took place on February 28, 2026 it was the result of months of planning and fundraising initiatives such as designing and selling exclusive “PWAP” apparel and the annual Valentine’s Day flowers sale. These efforts, in addition to the funds raised from ticket sales, were all donated to Boston Children’s Hospital, showing what is truly possible when students work together for a cause they all believe in.
