Students Organize Tenth PMC Kids Ride at Belmont Hill
For the tenth time, Belmont Hill students organized and hosted the PMC Kids Ride for an inspiring day of fun on campus on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Belmont Hill boys first started the ride in 2011 to honor beloved teacher and coach Cliff Goodband. That tradition has continued now for ten iterations, and this year’s event was organized by Connor Goodband ‘25, Nick Fiumara ’26, Owen Goodband ‘28, and Jake Fiumara ‘30, grandchildren of Mr. Goodband.
“The PMC means a lot to my family and me. When my cousins and brothers and I were younger and Belmont Hill students (with the help of my parents and aunts and uncles) hosted the event, we rode our bikes in it,” Nick said. “As we got older, we started to move towards the actual coordinating aspects of the kids’ bike ride. With the PMC Kids Ride raising money primarily for Dana-Farber, for cancer research, it is important for my family to support the cause.”
Nearly 50 riders participated in this year’s event and a fundraising auction included items such as a signed Rory McIlroy poster and Red Sox tickets. Thanks to the community’s turnout and support, the event is on track to meet its goals.
This year’s ride was dedicated to Bill Mahoney, dedicated Director of Communications at Belmont Hill for nearly two decades and PMC supporter who passed away last year.
