Richard "Dewey" Jarvis '13 Makes Atlanta Falcons Roster

Capping a journey that began at Belmont Hill and culminates in the NFL, former Belmont Hill standout Richard "Dewey" Jarvis '13 was recently named to the roster of the Atlanta Falcons.

Jarvis had an outstanding career at Belmont Hill, playing linebacker, wide receiver, and tight end. He was All-League First Team, All New England Class B First Team, and a team MVP.  He went on to play four distinguished seasons at Brown University.   Jarvis was selected to play in the highly prestigious college Senior Bowl, which features the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL draft prospects.

Jarvis was signed by the Falcons as an undrafted free agent, but worked hard through training camp and preseason competition to make the team. "This accomplishment comes from much hard work that began at Belmont Hill and continued through his days at Brown University, and as an undrafted free agent for the Falcons," says Belmont Hill football coach Chris Butler. "He is a talented football player and an even better person. I am so proud that Dewey has reached the NFL as a member of the Atlanta Falcons. It is a well-deserved honor."
