Poetry Fest Offers an Impressive Range of Performances

The challenges of the pandemic have necessitated some modifications over the past couple of years, but this spring Poetry Fest returned in traditional form and the results were quite inspiring. Poetry Fest has always celebrated the belief that poetry is primarily meant not to be read but to be heard, and the boys certainly brought that philosophy to life in grand fashion.

While all the boys were wonderful, Daniel Bittner '22, Bobby Cooper '23, Julian Boutin '24, and Will Achtmeyer '26 were honored for their performances. Daniel Bittner has performed every year since First Form!

Below, you can find a list of each student and their poem.

Daniel Bittner '22: “Ode to the West Wind” by Percy Bysshe Shelley
Bobby Cooper '23: “Trumpet Player” by Langston Hughes
