Jamari Robinson ’25 Crosses 1,000-Point Milestone

Jamari Robinson ’25 Crosses 1,000-Point Milestone

In a home game on January 17 against Buckingham Browne & Nichols School, Jamari Robinson ‘25 stepped to the free throw line and passed the 1,000 point threshold for his career, becoming the latest Belmont Hill player to join this exclusive club.

While points scored is commemorated as a personal achievement, Jamari was quick to recognize everyone who helped him reach this moment. “To my teammates, thank you for pushing me every day in practice and for always having my back on and off the court. Your dedication and hard work have made me a better player. To my coaches, thank you for your teachings and belief in me. You’ve not only helped me grow as a player but as a person, and I’m incredibly grateful for all you’ve taught me.”

Head coach Corey Cofield was equally grateful for what Jamari has brought to the program. "Since Freshman year, Jamari has been a huge contributor to the Varsity Basketball team,” Mr. Cofield said. “His 1,000 point accomplishment is just one of the many great things that this young man has done for himself as well as the school.”

During his four years on Varsity, Jamari built a reputation as a complete player known for tenacious defense and offensive versatility. “A lethal shooter from deep, Jamari also added a mid-range shot to his game which has deepened his ‘bag’ and has allowed him to carve up many opposing defenses,” Mr. Cofield said. “I know and have witnessed his efforts to prepare for such a feat. Jamari is a gym rat and takes every advantage of our facilities to strengthen his game.”

“Reaching 1,000 points has always been a dream of mine,” said Jamari, “but I never imagined I would have the opportunity to achieve it. Being at Belmont Hill and playing alongside such amazing teammates has made this experience even more special.”

Jamari’s family joined him at halfcourt to commemorate the occasion, making the night and accomplishment all the more special. “To my family, thank you for your unwavering support,” Jamari said. “I am nothing without you all. Your sacrifices, love, and support have been my foundation, and I am truly blessed to have you by my side.”
