Belmont Hill Welcomes New Faculty and Staff

Belmont Hill is proud to welcome an exciting new group of faculty and staff members to the community:

KENNETH BURKE
Mr. Burke joins Belmont Hill School’s English Department where he will teach four sections of English, advise, and coach varsity football and JV baseball. He comes to Belmont Hill as a 33-year veteran of teaching, coaching, and advising at independent schools. Prior to Belmont Hill, Mr. Burke taught at Thayer Academy for almost two decades serving as an AP English Literature and Composition teacher as well as working with ninth-grade English honors students. He also held positions as an English and classics instructor at Dexter Southfield School and Rye Country Day School. Mr. Burke is a graduate of Amherst College, with a B.A. in English and classics. There, among his many activities, he played varsity football, varsity lacrosse, and was a member of both the Five College Orchestra and the Amherst Symphony Orchestra. 
 
ASHLEY CONSOLINI
Ms. Consolini joins Belmont Hill as an assistant athletic trainer after serving in this role both at Phillips Academy Andover and Northeastern University. Ms. Consolini holds a B.S. in athletic training and a M.S. in post professional athletic training from Springfield College where she developed her holistic approach to patient care by emphasizing the connection between spirit, mind, and body. In addition to her clinical skills, Ms. Consolini brings strong organizational and administrative abilities to the Athletic Trainers Office.
 
JOHN DONOVAN
Mr. Donovan joins Belmont Hill School where he will teach four sections of art, manage the set design for all three seasons in the Theater Department, and advise a group of students. After graduating from Yale University in 2025 with a B.A. in art and art history, Mr. Donovan worked at his alma mater, Groton School, where he assisted in communications, theater, and summer programming. He brings extensive knowledge in a variety of media to his new role, including painting and drawing, stained glass, 3D computer modeling, ceramics, and woodworking.
 
JONATHAN DOUGLAS
Mr. Douglas joins Belmont Hill as chief financial and operating officer (CFOO). He comes to us from The Governor's Academy, where he served as the chief financial officer. Mr. Douglas brings broad and deep experience in independent school finance. Having started his school career in California, he also held the position of chief financial officer at Berwick Academy and School Year Abroad prior to his role at Governor’s. Additionally, he proudly served our country as an Intelligence Operations Specialist in the Air Force. Mr. Douglas has been highly engaged in organizations such as AISNE, NBOA, and INDEX. He has often been either a board member or a key presenter in these regional and national contexts and holds particular experience in health care models for independent schools. Mr. Douglas has maintained a deep commitment to school communities, evidenced by his engagement in school life both in the classroom and in the athletic realm, having served as the assistant coach for the Governor's wrestling team.
 
AMOS GILBERT
Mr. Gilbert joins Belmont Hill School as an Admission Associate in the Admission Office and as our Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach. A graduate of the University of Vermont with a B.A. in history and a minor in parks, recreation, and tourism, Mr. Gilbert played varsity Lacrosse at UVM all four of his years in college. He comes to Belmont Hill from Steamboat Springs High School where he served as the Head Lacrosse Coach and led the team to two league championships. In addition to his duties in the Admission Office and on the lacrosse field, Mr. Gilbert will act as an advisor and will coach an additional sport in the fall or winter. 

JOELLE HENRY
Ms. Henry joins Belmont Hill School to teach four sections of computer science and engineering, coach robotics, and advise a group of students. She has over 20 years of experience in computer science, engineering, and mathematics, teaching and designing rigorous secondary and college-level STEM programs. Prior to Belmont Hill, she was a computer science instructor at Virtual Learning Academy Charter School. She holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an M.Ed. in educational studies from the University of New Hampshire, and is currently working on her Ph.D. in education in instructional design and technology. 
 
PETER JACOB-DOLAN
Mr. Jacob-Dolan joins Belmont Hill on a part-time basis in the English Department. He comes to us with 27 years of experience as an English teacher in both the middle school and upper school levels, most recently in Bedford, MA. This year, Mr. Jacob-Dolan will cover sections of English 1, 2, 3, and 4 in support of faculty members on paternity leave. He knows Belmont Hill and the surrounding area well as he hails from nearby Arlington. He earned his undergraduate degree at Boston College in English and philosophy, went on to Tufts University for a Master of Arts in teaching, and then returned to Boston College for a Master of Education. He is also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying soccer, skiing, sailing, and rock climbing.
 
DANIELLE LEVYA
Ms. Levya joins Belmont Hill School in the position of director of auxiliary programs where she is responsible for providing strategic leadership for all auxiliary programming including the Summer Academics and Sport Camps programs. Ms. Levya will identify, develop, and manage new programs and partnerships and revenue-generating opportunities for the School. She joins Belmont Hill from the Wheeler School where she held the role of camp director of auxiliary programs and directed camp operations for over 1,000 campers and managed a diverse staff of 125 employees. Ms. Levya holds a B.S. in business administration, an M.B.A., and an M.S. in organizational leadership, all from Nichols College. 
 
THOMAS MADDEN ’22 
Mr. Madden, a graduate of the Belmont Hill Class of 2022, joins Belmont Hill as a one-year teaching fellow where he will teach in the History Department, coach two sports, and co-advise a group of students. Mr. Madden received his B.A. from the University of Richmond in 2026, and during the summer, he held internships at Fidelity Investments and Rich May, P.C. As a student at Belmont Hill, he was a Head Peer Leader, served on the School Senate, and was a substitute instructor for Greek and Roman History. He was also awarded the Form IV and Form VI History Prizes for exceptional academic performance.
 
ROBIN POTTER
Ms. Potter joins Belmont Hill School as a one-year teaching fellow in the Science Department where she will teach Environmental Science; coach soccer, hockey, and sailing; and co-advise a group of students. She will also be a member of our residential life community on campus. Ms. Potter  graduated from Middlebury College with a B.A. in Earth and climate sciences, and environmental studies, and graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 2020. Previously, she worked as a substitute teacher in Exeter, NH, and has served as both a member of the field staff and a trip leader guiding students between the ages of 11-16 on nature expeditions. 
 
FRANCIS ROCHE
Mr. Roche joins Belmont Hill School as head varsity football coach and assistant athletic director. He is a graduate of Tufts University, where he had an outstanding career as a player. He also holds a master’s degree in teaching from Tufts and served as the director of civic development. His undergraduate degrees are in Political Science and Entrepreneurship, and we look forward to having him teach a class in this area. For the past three years, Mr. Roche was the head football coach at Arlington High School and previously served as an assistant coach for Everett High School. Mr. Roche comes to us with particular expertise on the offensive side of the ball, which we believe is the perfect complement to our existing staff.
 
ANGELA TABB
Ms. Tabb joins the Office of Academic Support Services team as a learning specialist. Ms. Tabb brings over two decades of experience helping students build executive functioning skills, master academic strategies, and become confident self-advocates, with a background spanning Buckingham Browne & Nichols School, Tilton School, and Winchester Public Schools. She holds a Master’s in special education from Plymouth State University and a B.A. in history from Providence College. Outside of work, Ms. Tabb is an active community member who serves on the Board of Directors for Winchester Youth Hockey. 
 
MARTIN WILSON ’22
Mr. Martin Wilson, a graduate of the Belmont Hill Class of 2022, returns to the School as a one-year teaching fellow where he will support the Admissions and Communications offices. He will also coach three sports, co-advise a group of students, and be a member of our residential life community on campus. Mr. Wilson graduated from Connecticut College in May 2026 with a major in human development and a minor in psychology, while captaining the men’s basketball team.
