Belmont Hill Returns from Break with a Message of Growth

Greg Schneider, Ronald M. Druker ‘62 Head of School, welcomed the Belmont Hill community back from winter break with a Chapel Talk continuing the conversation of defining the qualities of character that drive the School’s mission.

“In this Chapel, in our advisories, and in your relationships with teachers here, you will continue to be asked to engage with the idea of becoming a man of character in a whole variety of ways,” Mr. Schneider said. “There is perhaps no more compelling theme in that conversation than learning from mistakes, building resilience, and committing to a life of both gratitude and kindness towards others.”

While he noted that the Form VI boys may be closer than the middle schoolers to taking the skills learned at Belmont Hill out into the wider world, the opportunity for growth remains the same for all students.

“We are all in the business of growth at this school; we are all in a process of formation–of trying to become the best possible men we can become. We walk that shared road together each and every day on this campus.”
