Belmont Hill Musicians Perform In Northeastern District Senior Festival

Every November, a group of Belmont Hill School musicians audition for the Northeastern District Senior Music Festival. From this audition, judges from the Massachusetts Music Educators Association select musicians to form four all-star ensembles.

This year, five Belmont Hill students were selected to perform in the Senior District Orchestra: Daniel Cho, '23 (cello); David Cho, '23 (cello); Ernest Lai, '25 (clarinet); Jaiden Lee, '26 (cello); and Wesley Zhu, '25 (violin). After a challenging week of rehearsals, these boys performed with the ensemble at New England Conservatory's historic Jordan Hall.

The Senior Festival Orchestra at the January 7, 2023 concert was led by renowned conductor Nathaniel Efthimiou. Their energetic performance featured Wagner's Prelude to Die Meistersinger and Quinn Mason's Toast of the Town. Congratulations to these talented students on a great orchestral performance!
