Alumni Return to Share Path to Careers in Medicine

Belmont Hill was fortunate to have graduates back to discuss their career paths for a special School Meeting, "Alumni in Medicine." Welcomed to the stage were Alby Coombs, D.M.D. '03, Corey Gatewood, M.D. '07, and Dewey Jarvis '13 (M.D. candidate). Moderating the discussion was Belmont Hill Trustee Greg Paul '09 with introductions by Caleb Collins '93 and Greg Schneider.

All of the speakers stressed having good time management, resilience, and a good support network as keys to being successful as they navigated the challenges of medical school. As an introduction, a fun video with highlights from their football days on the Hill was played.

Directors for the Multicultural Alumni Partnership (MAP) were also in attendance for the School Meeting. After the morning program, the speakers visited campus and also spoke with the student group Brother 2 Brother. We are so grateful for their time spent on campus talking to students.

This program was presented by the MAP Speaker Series. Click here for additional photos, and more information about the MAP program. Below is a recording of the program.

Spring Art Show Demonstrates the Power of Patience

While the Landau Gallery was filled with incredible works in pottery, drawing, painting, photography, and woodworking, Visual Arts Chair Dan Duarte was most impressed by the commitment required from each student to reach that finished product.
