Belmont Hill Summer Programs

Neighborhood Use of Athletic Fields

Neighbors are welcome to use the athletic fields, but we ask for your partnership in attending to the following parameters:

  • Use is limited to our athletic fields and track only.

  • The Academic side of our campus and Chapel Lawn is not available as a public walking path at any time.

Summer Programs: June 22-August 9, 2024
During the summer, please note that our fields will not be accessible while our outdoor Sport Camps (June 24 - August 2, 2024)  are in session, Monday through Friday, from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm. Summer School is held June 27 - August 9, 2024.

Academic Year
During the week, our students practice on our fields and track from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the fall and spring, so there should be no neighborhood use on our campus during these times. This is especially true in regards to our track.

Weekend use of our athletic fields and track is welcomed as long as there are no Belmont Hill games and competitions taking place.

Updates and Reminders

We continue to welcome dogs on campus but ask that you come prepared to clean up after them.

  • Dogs should remain on leash.
  • Dog are not allowed on the synthetic turf fields.

Parking Lots

While the school year is in session, it will be critical that we do not have neighbors using any of our parking lots until 6:00 pm. Any parking before that time displaces student and employee parking and leads to neighborhood overflow.

Mass Audubon

Entrance to the Habitat will not be available via our track, as this has led to our parking facility becoming something of a satellite lot for the Mass Audubon Habitat. Access to the Habitat for walkers via Tyler Road will remain available.

The Belmont Pan Mass Kids Ride was started in 2011 by a student at Belmont Hill School to honor teacher and coach Cliff Goodband, who passed away in 2010 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Since the initial ride, this event has been hosted by the students of Belmont Hill School to bring together the Belmont and surrounding communities in the fight against cancer. The PMC community has one mission: raise funds for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute  so that “together, we get closer by the mile to a world without cancer.”

Neighborhood Community Open Skate

Belmont Hill invites neighbors for open skates on Sunday afternoons at the Jordan Athletic Center Rink.

Open skate will be offered from 2:10 to 3:30 pm on certain Sundays in December, January, and February, except when the building is closed for holidays.

Stay tuned for 2024-2025 season dates.

This is an open skate for all ages. For the safety of everyone, please remember that no sticks, pucks, or accessories of any kind are allowed.
