Belmont Hill School prides itself on its commitment to excellence in education, in the classroom, on the fields, and on the stage. The School has built a legacy upon instilling universal values, honesty, and responsibility in the character of each student. The lasting impact of this School is apparent each year in the loyalty that is shown by each of you, its friends, alumni, faculty, staff and families. Your gifts to the Annual Fund allow each new generation of students to receive the caliber of education that will prepare them for future success and fulfillment. Over the past five years, the Annual Fund has funded 15 percent of Belmont Hill's operating expenses. Students, faculty and staff experience the immediate benefits of those gifts as they are applied to enhance the quality of the School's programs, resources and facilities.

This year, we will reach our Annual Fund goal of $4M through the extraordinary generosity of leadership gifts, as well as strong participation throughout the school community. Giving what you can is an important way to show your support for the School; while we rely on leadership gifts to inspire us all and lay the foundation of each year's Annual Fund, every gift of every size is essential to reaching our participation goals. Annual Fund FAQs

Q. What does the Annual Fund support?

The Annual Fund directly supports students and faculty, ongoing technology and facilities needs as well as other school priorities. Over the past five years the Annual Fund has funded 15 percent of Belmont Hill's operating expenses. The Annual Fund offers alumni, parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, and friends of Belmont Hill a special opportunity to support the highest current priorities of the School through their annual unrestricted giving. Most importantly, this broad-based support reflects the combined philanthropy of generations of alumni who give generously at all levels.

Q. Doesn’t tuition cover these items?

Even full tuition pays for only a portion of the actual cost of educating a student. The financial model that underpins the School’s operation depends on three principal sources of revenue: endowment income, tuition revenue and the philanthropy of alumni, parents, and friends through the Annual Fund. Your annual support is a vital component of that financial equation.

Q. How does the Annual Fund conduct solicitations?

Belmont Hill sends out appeals by mail and email each fiscal year. These appeals are followed by phone requests from fellow alumni and parents. We are counting on an Annual Fund commitment as part of every gift to the School. Consider making your gift or pledge by December 31 to save the School postage and telephone costs and to build momentum. Pledges are payable by May 31 – the end of the fiscal year.
