Wrestling Scores Big "Tri-Win"1/24/2010 Competing against some of the strongest programs in New England, Belmont Hill's wrestling team Saturday defeated three teams in impressive fashion. The team opened the afternoon against Roxbury Latin, who was previously unbeaten in the ISL. A commanding performance allowed Belmont Hill to take a 59-12 victory.
Next up was Andover, the first of two strong non-league opponents. When the dust settled, the team had come away with another strong victory, 52-13. Loomis Chaffee was expected to provide a strong challenge, and while the match was closer than the previous two, the team secured a solid 52-26 win.
Four Belmont Hill wrestlers won all three of their matches: Captain Nick Ogonowsky, senior Jordan Gorelick, and sophomores Cam Scari and Jeff Ott. Nick Andre scored a key pin against Andover when that match was still very much in question.
